Your logic is failed. To vote for Idol, you don’t have to be 18, like you do for elections and you can vote as many times as you want, when you can only vote once for president.

All it really proved is that people are more willing to participate in a democratic vote than the republic system that America uses.
It also prove that if a set demographic(such as the gayists) feel that they are not being heard, that you can charge them to vote and they’ll pay for it out of desperation to be heard.

Well you can’t do the math. 132 million registered adult voters voted in the last national election. About 100 million of 300 million Americans voted on American Idol. And the Gay guy lost. And if you go by percentage of eligible voters it was much, much higher in the National election than America Idol.
So the answer is no, and our founding fathers are resting peacefully.

The show (I do not watch) reach a lot of viewers. It can promote views to a lot of people that indicate what they are trying to promote, sort of like the dance shows. Not all of us are in agreement with this brain washing tactic

the american idol vote count proves only one thing, that the hearts and minds of a shitpot full of american young people can be manipulated by a powerful buzz marketing machine.
AI is a money making juggernaut. Period. The producers could not care less about what they are producing, rather only that it generates mega dollars.
It just happens that vocal talent is the theme rather than eating worms and letter spiders crawl all over you.
AI is the most successful buzz marketing product …ever. There will be others.
