Unfortunately this is not available on itunes. But try David Archuleta’s latest fan bundle on itunes. “A Thousand Miles” unplugged and unreleased “Zero Gravity”.

Producers of David Archuleta’s album said they were amazed that they did not have to auto-tune David. He has amazing vocals. Check out his songs.

Nothing can hold a candle to Billy Joel’s version of this song, but this is pretty good considering what he’s up against.

Although I’m not convinced American Idol isn’t completely auto-tuned.

Whoa! I got goosebumbs, lol His voice is very beautiful and strong. If music could really heal, he would be the best medication. :) And I am saying that because I do not give a crap about American Idol. I just love music. I have never watched actually THE American Idol….only in my country, in which it is not American Idol, of course.

When David sings, you can feel the emotion of the song and the emotion of the singer. For those who hate David, go, hate him. He doesn’t CARE. Were not CARE BEARS.

I’m a Billy Joel fan. I’ve seen both Billy and David live, and it’s personal preference. The original is blah for me, and I love what David adds to it, and the passion and emotion he emits in his performances. There’s an indescribable connection for me.

I like Billy Joel, but I like this version better. I guess old people will always prefer the Billy Joel version, no matter how good David sings this song. Personally, I think Billy sounds too monotone, while David’s version has so much more emotion put into the song, and it’s more powerful.

absolutely agree with everything you wrote. it’s laughable how some think this was an improvement… billy is a legend, this guy will not be. pure and simple. good voice, but bad taste.

he has a nice voice, but doesn’t do this great song any justice. he should do mariah carey covers instead.

can you explain? i’m actually very interested. i have my own reasons for saying billy’s is on an entirely different emotional plane, but i’d like to hear why this can be seen as superior.

thumbs up from me, sir.
i think simon wanted to lay down the law on him. can’t stand the way some of these singers jazzercise the melody, fucking ruins it here. billy joel chose the repetitiveness, the simplicity for a reason, and this kid just cheapens it. id call those ‘americhords’ he throws in, were it not for alexandra burke’s similar perversion of a certain leonard cohen classic. wish i had his voice, but glad i don’t insult my own abilities at the same time.

interestingly enough, I’m not a fan of the original but I think this is beautiful, sung with passion and emotion.

no, he over-sang. The first verse was allright, after that it went downhill. He threw way too much into it and accentuated the wrong parts in the wrong way. I’m all for people doing a song in your own unique way, as long as product is good. This was not good.
The original was masterful and captivating from the moment you hear it.
Were this to come on the radio I would get bored and change station.

There are just some songs that should never be touched…. songs so biting and true that the song can’t quite be the same without its original artist…. this would be one of those…. yet another reason i don’t watch American Idol….
