I don’t think any of us really appreciated David until he wasn’t on Idol this year. There is just something about Archie. I heard somewhere that humility, meekness, virtue, etc., is GREATNESS under complete control. I believe David controls his own destiny through his faith and obedience. Does it really matter if he is Latino, Honduran, or Basque. Do we care if he is white, tan, brown or black as long as he sings and sings and sings?

Nice comments guys. David is from a great family. His Dad Jeff is an absolute angel and so is his mom Lupe. The Mormon families are united by their faith. Jeff as a father of then a minor (David was 17 when this video was taped), needed to be there. Lupe remained in Utah with David’s sibblings while Jeff guarded David. Jeff is a great, sweet man. Those horror stories are just that: Stories. Naomi Judd, mother of Wynonna Judd and a real stage mother started it all.

Ok, just because you have fair skin does not mean you’re white(Ethnicity), there are a lot of latinos who look white but are not. Remember Mexicans are Mestizos meaning White(The Spaniards) and Native Americans(The Aztecs)decendants. David can be one of them, don’t forget his mother is from Honduras(Central America). So I think he is Latino. =D

Lol, virtueisin that is exactly what I did. I have a cd at work, one in my jeep, and one in my bedroom. I also have the itune deluxe album on my computer. Now all I need is an ipod so no matter where I am, my ODD is covered, haha.
