Well, it’s a little late to reply but Cook is the best. Archuleta fans voted with equal vigor but Cook was the best, no doubt about it. He was original, took more risks, showed versatility, and won by a landslide. Cook & Archie are two different artists. Cook dominated the 2nd half of the competition. In my opinion Archuleta isn’t unique either nor do I see him being a “legend.” Cook is also a song writer while Archie isn’t so song writers tend to have more longevity in the business.

Best Idol Yet. Brst Single Yet and Best Season yet. Season 8 was good but the Outcome wasnt excactly awe inspiring as this.

It didn’t make me cry when I saw it on T.V., but watching it again, with the knowledge that his brother just died, made me cry hard. I was with him since I saw him on the auditions. He is awesome, and it makes me cry when I think about him and the loss of his brother, whom he loved very much. Cook is a legend, no matter what anybody says. He…i don’t know what to say, but I think Cook will be almost as big as Daughtry.

Dude you are so right. David Cook has had one of the most sad, most unique journeys I’ve ever heard of. Archie is good, but he is already being left in Cook’s dust. The only reason Archie made it to the finale is because all the chicks thought he was hot or whatever. Cook will be remembered by millions for ages to come, and I will remember him, and his love for his brother, as long as I live.

Whoever is reading this I NEED YOUR HELP!
my mom says that cook is not unique at all and he will be left in the shadows while archuleta will be a legend or whatever. she also thinks that cook fans just rallied all 2 hours while the archuleta fans just assumed that archie won.(which is stupid)

Sales-wise & radio play, David Cook is doing much better than Archie. Cook’s album has sold 1.16 Million to date, Archie has quite a long ways to get there (could take another 2 years to get to platinum) but Archie’s single Crush was a hit for him. However, they are both doing well on tour.
